Davidson begins his autobiography thus: "This is the life-history of a lover of boys." He was amember of the Berlin Communists Against Hitler in 1930-33, a "spy" in Morocco during the war, and a journalist in the Jewish-Arab war, Korea and the Far East. Imrisoned for homosexuality and his criticism of the Malayan campaigns.
