Domestic Architecture of the San Francisco Bay Region [exhibited] September 16, October 30, 1949

San Francisco: San Francisco Museum of Art, 1949. Paperback. Unpaginated, about forty pages long, site photos on glazed alkaline stock, extensive captionings on skyblue matte stock. Names of the designers, builders and owners constitute an intellectual celebrity list for this architectural period. Semi-hardbound in 11.5x9 inch wraps. Laid in find a few disbound leaves from a related journal-article, staples unfortunately retained and rusted, staining the gutter of this booklet. Booklet covers are toned and have a small lower corner-tip bump, and, Caveat Emptor, item is mildly musty. As is, a good-only copy. Find two ownership stamps of Philip Choy, local architect and historian of Chinese Californiana.

Mumford's brief article precipitated this exhibit; he praised a "Bay Area style"
