On the effort to turn a dilapidated home in North Berkeley into housing for ten homeless people with AIDS. NIMBY neighbors put the plan into jeopardy, so the organization planned a Halloween evening gathering at the house (at 2211 Rose St.) where kids could get candy and adults could get condoms. "Unlike some neighbors opposed to the housing effort - we don't play tricks, we give out treats! We're here to show that people with AIDS aren't scary monsters..."
