Atlanta: Atlanta Cooperative News Project, 1968-1969. Newspaper. 28 folded tabloids, variously 8p. to 20p., illus., toned, some issues frayed and chipped along edges, else good to very good. Includes Vol. 1, Nos. 1-13, 15-16, 19, 21-22, 25, 32-35; Vol. 2, Nos. 1-5. Broken run between Mar. 15-28, 1968 and Apr. 14, 1969.
Atlanta's underground paper, one of the more solid of the period. These issues provide a good overview of the period's political and countercultural news, particularly for the South. Music reviews, letters, ads, comix (mostly home-spun), the usual underground mix. Includes somewhat patronizing articles on "how to get with it." Began as a bi-weekly for first 13 issues or so, weekly after that.
