The National Song Parade; Hits of Today, Tomorrow and Yesterday. N.Y.-World's Fair Edition-S.F.

no place: National Song Parade, [circa 1940]. Magazine. 32p., small-font production on newsprint, stapled 11x8 inch self-wraps, the red cover wrapper is decorated with a sly photoportrait of Bing Crosby. Cover slightly edgeworn and a little faded, text is quite toned but handleable, a good copy. Caveat emptor, no music notation, only lyrics for perhaps 200 songs, many quite obscure.

We looked in vain for Fair-related songs, but not even NY or SF songs turned up. We DID unearth this: "THE DYING COWBOY. Take my bridgework back to Mother / Lay it gently in her hand / When my Mother sees my bridgework / She is sure to understand / I'm a dying cowboy." --not original to this compilation, a song from 'The Girl from Wyoming' stage production.
