[East Bay]: [1977-?]. 1.25 inch diameter pin, depiction of an elderly Filipino resident of the hotel; translates as "Fight for the International Hotel." Very good; manufactured by East Bay pinmaker Robert Rush (though not identified as such on the pin).
The I-Hotel, the center of San Francisco's old Manilatown and home to many elderly immigrants, was forcibly evicted in August 1977 after a lengthy struggle.
