Kill for peace / Kill for freedom / Kill Vietnamese / Kill, Kill! / SPU [pinback button]
n.p. SPU, [1967-?]. 1.25 inch diameter pin, red text on yellow field. Metal backing is subtly bent, though not obviously so.
The text may be a riff on the Fugs' 1966 song "Kill for peace," though the rest of the text is different from the original lyrics. This pin was featured on the infamous 1967 William Weege poster featuring a bare-breasted woman with the Thomas Jefferson quote "In every government on earth there is some trace of human weakness, some germ of corruption and degeneracy."
