San Francisco: the exposition, 1939. A ten-inch ceramic plate with gilded rim, five multi-color scenes from the Fair (pagoda, other pavilions, sunrise) with deco divider images around the plate-edge, then a circle of California poppies around a brown expo logo in the shallow bowl area. Underneath find a minimalist copyright notice in green. No manufacturer shown, but handsome work. A fine exemplar, unblemished.
