San Francisco: Lesbian & Gay Focus of All People's Congress, 1982-1984. Six leaflets, including three related to the National Days of Resistance to Reaganism, one from the Pride Parade's Solidarity Contingent in 1983, and two versions of a leaflet calling for protests against the San Francisco appearances of Jerry Falwell, Phyllis Schlafly, and Reagan administration representatives. The latter two leaflets are unobtrusively rubberstamped July 1984 by their original archivist.
The All People's Congress organized against "The Reagan program of cutbacks, attacks on labor, racism, sexism, lesbian and gay oppression and buildup for war." The Lesbian and Gay Focus group within the broader organization worked on issues such as the "Family protection act" and, in the 1983 handbill in this lot, made an early demand for funding for AIDS research and patient care.
