Hand-book prepared by a missionary on this African island, covering all aspects of this fruit that would eventually end up in the chocolate manufacturing plants of Barcelona. Very detailed. Illustrations mostly show braceros at work on plantations. Barrera wrote similar guides on the banana and the coffee tree as well as a book on the lives and customs of the natives.
