[Kyoto]: [Kyoto Shorin], [183-]. Nine slender volumes, bound with thread in traditional format with paper title label on each volume, moderate scuffing and soil to covers, interior pages very good. Text in Japanese. Reprint of the 1792 edition, containing the original prefaces, without stating the publisher or date. However, the last page of the final volume announces a Tenpo-era work, the Tenpo ozassho mannengoyomi, published by Kyoto Shorin, suggesting that this work is from the same publisher, and also printed during the Tenpo reign (1830-1844).
A major work of the Tokugawa period on sword inscriptions, generally maker's marks. Reproduces numerous rubbings of the inscriptions.
