Rogers was an Iowan railway brakeman, trade unionist, freethinker and theosopher. He spent time in jail when the American Railway Union Pullman Strike of 1894 and was released when Eugene Debs posted his bail. He also founded the Wisconsin State Federation of Labor. This book deals with his later theosophical and mystical studies.
