Hardbound item, massive 10x7.5 inch maroon buckram boards gilt-titled (gilt remains bright) somewhat edgeworn with bits of fray at corner-tips; both hinges have been repaired (very successfully, no "tightback" effect), former owners' signatures on endsheets and titlepage, endpocket maps have been owner-numbered neatly in India ink. Textblock is tight and square; a clean sound albeit repaired copy with complete text and apparatus.
