Black power and white protestants; a Christian response to the new Negro pluralism

New York: Oxford Univeristy Press, 1968. ix, 228p., dj.

Urges white protestant political activism in support of civil rights "to replace [sic!] their emphasis on integrated churches," a curious stance. The only dj blurb is by one W. H. Ferry saying that the book "won't change much the desperate state of blacktown-whitetown" but commends its "clarifications;" Mr Ferry, f.y.i., a benign Santa Barbara -area eccentric.
