The San Francisco Fault; Yet Another Voice of the West. News and Events through September 28, 1971
San Francisco: the bi-weekly, 1971. 24p., newsprint with rubricated masthead, folded tabloid style, the usual proportion of illustrations, ads; mildly toned, transverse fold is fragile, otherwise a very good copy of the first issue.
Counterculture for the middle class; tweaks Mayor Joe Alioto as mafia-tainted, runs a longish story by Frank Chin on Chinese-American San Franciscans, surveys the Renaissance Faire, runs a book review by local writer Peter Beagle, and in the film section find a photo of Tom Luddy wearing a cool hat.
