New York: National Gay Task Force, . Single 8.5x11 inch sheet typed letter on NGTF letterhead signed "Bruce" above typed name Bruce Voeller in green felt pen, two fold creasesotherwise very good.
Bruce Voeller formed the National Gay Task Force in 1973 after serving as president of the Gay Activist Alliance. He served as Executive Director until 1978. This letter was part of a collection of NYC gay organization materials from 1974 and so we assume this is likely the date of the letter. It is merely a reminder that a member's membership has lapsed and the enclosure mentioned is missing. Voeller coined the term Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) which replaced GRIDD. He died in California in 1974 of AIDS related illness.
