Edgar White was born in Montserrat and has has lived in the United States and England. His plays have been successfully presented in New York, London, and Africa. Due to his radical activities in the seventies he was sent down from Yale. This is the version of the play which was first produced at the New York Shakespeare Festival in 1971.
