A Centennial Evaluation of the Treaty of Guadelupe Hidalgo, 1848-1948
Oakland: Oakland Public Library, 1948. 33p., 8.5x11 inches, footnotes, bibliography, mimeographed report in mildly worn stapled blue printed wraps. with black cloth tape spine.
Conmy was at the time City Librarian for Oakland, CA and Grand Second Vice-President of Native Sons of the Golden West. His text reads as if written by a career librarian, and concludes with a Chamber of Commerce boosterism writ very large indeed : "Californians must take a special pride in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.. American ownership meant progress.."
