Sarin Chhak worked as part of the United Front government in exile dominated by the Khmer Rouge, despite his closer relationship to the royalist elements within the Front. The Khmer Rouge placed him in the Beoung Trabek concentration camp for diplomats until the Vietnamese invasion of 1979, at which time he disappeared.
