On the late massacre at Kent State [poetry handbill]

New York: Action for Peace (Columbia University), 1970. 8.5x11 inch mimeographed handbill, printed one side with anonymous poem; "take Action for Peace today" at bottom with contact information. Light edge toning and fold crease; very good.

"A dish for Colonel Patton and the colonel's wife, / 'I do like to see those arms and legs fly.' / At a feast in the garrison, at every feast, / Over the swearing and the smoke, with the vinous light of dawn / So that you may see it trembling and cold over the world." Action for Peace published a number of handbills and a newsletter at Columbia in the wake of the Kent State killings.
