Memoires de l'Eglise, contenant ce qui s'y passe tous les jours de plus considerable [&c; caption or half title, title page out]

s. l. s. n. 1690. Hardcover. Authorial attribution from OCLC, confirmations at the end of the Sommaire; text commences with Advertissment [vi pages], Sujet des memoires de l'Eglise [iv], Sommaire des livres [viii], 1-730p., lacks title leaf, half-title, possibly other preliminaries, and terminal index leaves from "Vvolsang Musculus / Vvormes" onward. Hardcover, plainly the original casing: full binding, polished calf boards, 9.7x7.2 inches, five raised bands with decorated compartments and original spine label gilt, boards panelled with devices gilt, all edges gilded, a fairly sound, bright copy with good hinges and joints (joints show thread-like wrinkles but very little splitting); corner-tips show a lot of card, top and tail rims tiny losses, marbled endsheets are a bit rubbed and dim but are intact without ownership or other markings. Find a handsome 2.8x5.2 inch copperplate engraving at p.1, and ornate headpieces and several tailpieces at chapter divisions. Pace the faults mentioned, quite presentable.
