Los Angeles, CA: Westwood Socialist Club, 1948-1951. Thirteen issues of the mimeographed newsletter produced by student socialist clubs in the LA area, backed primarily by the Westwood club centered at UCLA. Most are 8.5x14 inch sheets, with the last issue in eight-page booklet form with a four-panel "Declaration against war" brochure laid in. Evenly toned but generally very good, some handling wear and minor soil. In some cases the author of an anonymous article has been identified in pencil next to the relevant piece. Issues present are Vol. 2 no. 8, 12, 13; vol. 3 nos. 3, 4, 6, another misnumbered 6, 8, 11, 14; vol. 4 no. 3; vol. 6 no. 1; vol. 7 no. 2.

Perspectives of the youth wing of the Socialist Party, addressing topics such as racial prejudice, patronizing co-ops, resistance to war, opposition to totalitarian communism in Europe as well as right-wing anti-socialist agitation, and support for Spanish dissidents under Franco. Several issues are illustrated with cartoons. Editors include B. Bulbilian, Chuck Doehrer, Vern Davidson, Don Thomas and John Westrick.
