Early publication of Tom of Finland, with three inner pages. Tom made his first appearance in the previous issue. He got the name "Tom of Finland" from that issue as the publishers did not use his last name, only identifying him as "Tom," an artist who lives in Finland. Quaintance on rear cover.
Bob Mizer was the editor, publisher and primary photographer of the digest men's magazine. If one looks very closely between and below the b&w photos of bodybuilders in posing pouches one will find commentary on the art, the models, gay rights, law, religion and more by Mizer.
