The first thirty-five pages bear some underlines in pencil; a sound and otherwise clean copy. About 85 pages record her experiences in Republican Spain, she reporting from the field. There follow about 65p from Palestine, 100p from France. Parts of the book were published in Manchester Guardian, New Statesman, Time and Tide, Christian Science Monitor, PM. In Paris she was able to film the German advance and to smuggle out Jewish citizens.
