[Barcelona]: El Viejo Topo, 1977. 13x18.5 inch poster, rather edgeworn with closed tears, chip at top margin. Depicts Marx, Trotsky, Mao, Lenin and Bakunin arm-in-arm at the forefront of a mass of marchers.
Poster promoting the leftist journal, which in Spain's post-Franco period sought to mend relations between advocates of Trotskyism, Maoism and Anarchism. The title is the Spanish equivalent of The Old Mole, a name shared by some English-language publications, which comes from a Marx quote: "We recognize our old friend, our old mole, who knows so well how to work underground, suddenly to appear: the revolution."
