"The Instructor" A Complete Hindustani Grammar with Military Vocabulary and Exercises. Revised and brought up to date by The Board of Examiners, Simla.

Simla and New Delhi: Printed at Liddell's Printing Works / Printed under the authority of His Majesty's Stationery Office by Percy Lund, Humphries & Co Ltd, 1939. Paperback. v, 115p., softbound in 7x4.7 inch plain printed cardstock wraps; cover and paperstock quite toned and begun to be fragile, with a couple of tiny marginal tears in text. Cover heavy and thick, bears old distributors' stamps and a recent ownership signature. Good copy with no other drawbacks. Texts lean almost exclusively to military usage, telling the fuzzies how to go about it: "Lay a mine and blow up the fort. Get in to the dug-out. Fire at that loop-hole." But not entirely: "Get them all vaccinated. He sprained his ankle. This wound is suppurating."
