Moscow: Plakat, 1989. Trio of posters featuring artwork reflecting the new openness about the Soviet past. The works included are “1929. Kollektivizatsiia” [1929: Collectivization] by Vaganov, featuring Stalin’s silhouette in the blade of a scythe, “Kadry reshaiut vse” [Party cadres decide all] by Kondurov, and “Rekviem 1937 / 1935…1940” [Requiem 1937 / 1935… 1940] by Lozenko, commemorating the victims of evacuations and labor camps. All are 26.25x38 inches, the Kondurov poster lightly crinkled at lower right; a small closed tear near the edge of all three posters where there was a slight puncture, not obvious.
