Boston: D Lothrop Company, 1884. Hardcover. Slim unpaginated hardcover printed on bright-white glazed cardstock; wood-engraved illustrations, all edges tinted a brave red, cased into turquoise-cloth-backed patterened paper over boards, titled and with device in silver gilt. Nice copy with these flaws: extremities slightly worn with card showing at two corner-tips; mild hand-soil; front fly-kleaf out (neatly); first blank is cracked (cardstock leaves are a headache) but not badly at risk. A clean sound attractive copy.
Companion poems are mystical-religious or liberal sentiment, title poem and Burns' A Man's a Man for A' That being good examples.
