no place: no publisher, no date (circa 1890). Hardcover. Random, disconnected pages sampled from a finished product (that we guess would run over 650p.), the item in hand totalling perhaps 100p. only; hardbound in thick 10.5x7.5 inch skyblue cloth boards decorated gilt and black, with faux-marbled endpapers (how cheap can you get?) and genuine marbling to textblock edges. Music notation and lyrics occupy most of the samples, with a dozen or so spot-colored portraits of composers and performers scattered amongst. In the back find a Prospectus on tinted stock followed by lined blanks for use by the salesman, these remaining entirely blank. Aside from a mildly soiled spine and hints of soil elsewhere on the cloth boards, quite a bright cheerful item.
