Los Angeles, CA: the newspaper, 1967-1968. Nine issues of the tabloid format newspaper, paper evenly toned. Often multiple issue numbers were combined into a single publication. Issues present are vol. 1 nos. 6/7, vol. 2 no. 2, vol. 3 nos. 12, 13-17, 18-23, 24, 25-27, and vol. 4 nos. 2 and 3. Four to eight pages per issue.
Articles include polemics against other ML groups, reports on Southern California activities and police violence, "The lessons of Watts, 1965 must be learned and studied," "Detroit uprising: latest spontaneous proletarian uprising, points out need for proletarian revolution!" and much more. The essay "Comrade Laski, C.P.U.S.A. (M-L)," by Joan Didion, was about the leader of this group.
