Los Angeles: Los Angeles Free Press, 1969. Newspaper. 56p., in two sections as customarily issued; 17.5x11.5 inch tabloid newspaper. The paperstock is lightly toned, slight edge- and handling-wear, bears the original mailing label; a good copy which-- caveat emptor-- had marginal termite damage we trimmed off: a half-inch along foredge, quarter inches top and bottom. No loss of text, may have a few termite reminders (not as bad as cockroach stuff). Mailed folded along the original horizontal foldline.
Substantial coverage of Berkeley issues. The Panthers announced a possible name-change, to "American Liberation Front," and in another Panther story the film "Z" will be shown at a fundraiser for Panther hot breakfasts for children and a proposed clinic. P.19, two close-up photos showing extra bullet-holes in the Ambassador pantry, accompanied by about one hundred words of text. Strawberry Festival creamed by cops who decided to disperse festival-goers, violence resulted.
