San Diego: Students for Responsible Education, 1970. Newspaper. Four-page tabloid format newspaper unfolding into a poster, paper evenly toned, otherwise very good.
Underground publication from San Diego State University calling for the re-instatement of four faculty members from the history and psychology departments and calling for a student evaluation system to be the primary criterion in judging teaching effectiveness. Explains the rationale for a sit-in that shut down the administrative offices. "Because the administrators and the faculty were convinced that students were incapable of governing their own lives, their unbending paternalism and authoritarianism had to be decisively confronted." The four faculty are listed only by last name as Emami, Howard, Morez and Vergani.
