Announcing the release of the record on Decca, this sheet music was issued at the height of the Weavers' and Guthrie's career. Photo of the Weavers (Pete Seeger, Ronnie Gilbert, Lee Hayes, and Fred Hellerman) and Gordon Jenkins on cover . The arranger and music producer Gordon Jenkins signed the Weavers to the Decca label in 1949, against resistance from the label's management. Soon after this song was released, the group came under scrutiny by the House Un-American Activities Committee and disbanded in 1952.
