The Personalist A Quarterly Journal of Philosophy, Theology, and Literature, July 1928

Los Angeles: University of Southern California, 1928. Staplebound Wraps. 157-228p. (i.e., about 85 pages), 6.25x9 inches, staple-bound, mildly worn at edges, faint dust-soil and mild crimping to covers, albeit a fresh-looking, very good copy.

Contains a longish article by Edward L. Parsons on "The Experience of God," a more democratic notion of Christianity (personalism) which believes that any person can experience God. Parsons (1868-1960) was a social gospel minister in Berkeley and Bishop of the California Diocese of the Episcopal Church. He was associated with the ACLU and Civil Rights Congress in the 1940s and 1950s.
