Calf spine panel present and holding (original cords and threads), very abraded, labels absent, boards lacking entirely. Textblock is sound but edgeworn, commences with title page (mild dust-soil), toned and intermittantly foxed signatures, terminates in a worn blank. Plates attributed to Hogarth; the uncredited artist drew essentially the same scene over and over, groups in which persons are being cudgelled. In one, a horse is goosed. Commendable chiaroscuro.
