The diaboliad, a poem dedicated to the worst man in His Majesty's dominions. Second edition

London: Printed for G. Kearsly, 1777. [2], iv, 24 p., wraps, disbound, mild foxing, a clean example.

Dedication begins: "My Lord, I have not the honour of being acquainted with your Lordship, and as I do not wish there should be any attempt to violate my property, to estrange the affections of my wife, to seduce my daughter, or corrupt my son, it is a matter of real satisfaction to me, that I have not formed any connections to you..." Combe made his fame with the first edition of this work, though many of his later years were spent in debtor's prison.
