Charles J. Katz(1905-1983) was a founder of the National Lawyers' Guild, was counsel for the Hollywood Ten along with law partner Ben Margolis, and was brought before HUAC in September 1952 during an investigation titled "Communist Activities among Professional Groups In The Los Angeles Area." This was probably written as an article for a popular periodical.
