Supernatural horror in literature as revised in 1936

Arlington VA: Carrollton : Clark, 1974. [5]p., printed foreword plus photographic facsimile of the mss (4p.) on standard leaves (11x8.5 inches) reproduced recto only on pale yellow paperstock, presumably as HPL typed it out. First edition 11.2x8.6 marigold wraps printed red and green in letterpress, no. 47 of 2,000 copies, fractional edgewear, a very good copy indeed. Laid in is a leaf on Carrollton-Clark letterhead printed with monochrome emphases on both sides (explains delay in publication), and included is the publisher's mailing envelope bearing postal metering, mailing label (to a guy in San Francisco), and rubber-stamp impressions reading "Photos do not bend." We are satisfied that there never were any photos here, the stamping being cautionary and directed to the mailman. The Carrollton leaf has marginal toning, the envelope is dusty, quite edgeworn, and scribbled-on.
