Detroit: the Front, 1971. 4p. newsletter, crudely printed, 7x8.5 inches, very good.
This issue devoted entirely to case of James Johnson, including the text of "The Ballad of James Johnson." Johnson was an African American employee of the Eldon Avenue Gear and Axle Plant, who responded to months of harassment and frustration over working conditions by shooting two foremen and one job setter to death. Predicts a "Coming tide of Johnson pride... For wherever workers are under attack / There will be millions of Johnsons back to back!"
