S.F.'s main political underground paper, founded during the local newspaper strike. Among the more literate UG papers, the Express Times ran much material on the Black Panthers, local politics, the '68 presidential conventions and elections, plus recipes by Alice Waters, later of Chez Panisse. In the spring of 1969 the newspaper changed its name to the S.F. Good Times and underwent a staff change.
