Issued as both Teacher and Worker and Teacher Worker, this was the newsletter of the Communists working at CCNY in the era when the school was a hotbed of NY radical activism, not only of the CP, but various Trotskyist and other Socialist groupings. The newsletter presents the communist stance on faculty and labor issues at CCNY, defends against attacks from the right and from the administration and Board of Education, and agitates for communist demonstrations and activities. Includes material on the Scottsboro case and on racial discrimination. Issues in vol. 3 discuss Spanish Civil War from CP perspective. Special Mayday '37 issue has photo collage of demonstrations on backside. Only 2 holdings found in OCLC, one of them not covering these years.
