Hinges sound, a useful reading copy of a book that appeared in an edition of 1460 only; bookplate inside front cover. The story, novelized in pastels, of a courtesan executed for political reasons.
Maude Meagher published several and more notable novels. With a fellow Berkeley artist she hand-built possibly the largest "secular" adobe building in the US which Yehudi Menuin loved to play in because of the acoustics.
