New York: Sing Out Inc. 1962. Magazine. 68p. including covers, 5.5x8.5 inches, illustrated with photos, drawings, plans, music; very edge worn cover with a splitting abraded spine-fold, back cover is spotted (foxing or stains), clean within (no markings), in original stapled pictorial wraps.
The cover story is Bob Dylan, recently-discovered and at the time of the release of his first album "Bob Dylan." The article is written by Gil Turner, photo by John Cohen. Three Dylan songs are printed with music, lyrics and chords; "Blowin' in the Wind," "Letter to Woody," and "Ballad of Donald White." There is a full-page ad for his first album. This is quite likely Dylan's second appearance in print, the first being the May issue of Broadside which printed "Talkin' John Birch."
Also in this issue is a report on the Joe Hill Memorial in Salt Lake City and Pete Seeger's column Johnny Appleseed, Jr.
