N. pl. Folk-Lore Society of Texas, 1912. Hardcover. 13p., previous owner's signature and stamp, green boards, gilt lettering. It appears that the item was originally issued as a staplebound pamphlet. Staples remain in place and have rusted with a little migration; was side-stitched with further staples then these removed (see punctures along gutter); and finally fastened into the green cloth boards. Find a small old dampstain at the front hinge, casing slightly edgeworn, a good copy. Originally the text of a public talk; includes standards like Frankie [& Johnnie], some uncommon prison lyrics and more, with a substantial short introduction (7p.) and running commentary.
