no place: no publisher, no date . 20p., 8.5x5.5 inch plain printed wraps, coated or semi-coated paperstock throughout, no publication clues except for a union bug on the cover and the notation "reprint" --surely "reprinted" during the run-up to the 1960 election and not afterwards. A small blot and stain affect the cover, otherwise a nice copy.
Five-term Democratic congressman Yorty prefers Republican Nixon's farm, fiscal, foreign, labor and other policies. "Nixon believes less in the transfer of power to Washington." And, he isn't a Catholic. As a congressman, Yorty chaired California's first UnAmerican Activities Committee in 1939. In 1961 he became mayor of Los Angeles and was still mayor when RFK was killed. Having been grilled by RFK in front of congress, after the Watts riots, Yorty probably was not grieved by this third major assassination in five years.
