This autobiography was written and published in columns in the Las Cruces Citizen over a two-year period (thus the two publication dates) Noted in Adams "Six-guns & Saddle-leather" #113. This copy expecially interesting as the author's brother has scrawled a disclaimer and refutation of certain "facts" on the last page of the book; "the few things I differ from my brother . . . " "...my brother did not buy our clothes, only occasionally as a gift!" Material on Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, noted in Dykes' Billy the Kid #392. Also contains early chapters on the author's childhood in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
