Franklin Watts, Inc, New York. 1950, 92, [iv]p., black & white illustrations and endsheet sketch in colors; first edition red cloth boards titled and decorated in black, in dust jacket. Casebinding is crisp and bright and entirely free of ownership or other marks; jacket is heavily edgeworn with a 2x1 inch chip-loss on back panel, spine panel toned. A very good copy. Lester Rodney was the sports writer for the Daily Worker, paper of the CPUSA. He's known as one of the most important writers who pushed for the integration of baseball in the 1930s and 1940s
