Little, Brown and Company/An Atlantic Monthly Press Book, Boston. 1959, xviii, 427p. + 16p. photos, first edition in slightly discolored cloth boards and worn but unclipped dj, The gay poet author followed up his biography of Dylan Thomas with this book. According to his obituary, "As a close friend, unpaid lecture agent and ignored financial adviser for Thomas, Mr. Brinnin watched helplessly as he drank, brawled, publicly insulted his audiences and disintegrated mentally and physically."
