Little bronze playfellows: a phantasy for children and grown-ups

Paul Elder, San Francisco. 1915, iv+26p., 5x8 inches, frontis-photo with tissue-guard, 11 plates, very good in stiff, illustrated wraps titled decoratively in metallic bronze ink on textured marigold stock; has chips at head and tail and a three-inch split in the cover joint, find previous ownership names in ink neatly penned on free endsheet; a good-only copy. The final leaf bears an original P.P.I.E. admission ticket, overwritten "Requescat im pace" to indicate fair's finis, and, laid in, find an old leaf with relevant poems copied in holograph. A children's tale set at the Pan-Pacific Exposition Palace of Fine Arts in 1915 illustrated with the various bronze statues scattered through the exposition depicting Pans, Cupids, human boys and girls, and mythological figures.
