Crossing Press, Trumansburg. 1981, xxi, 102p., personal inscription to Piri and Susie Thomas, signed by Washington and dated 4/6/1989, author frontis-photo, introduction, preface, very good first edition trade paperback in pictorial wraps. Washington, incarcerated in New York prisons for many years, received national recognition for his poetry and his play, "The Boys in Cell Block C" He was released after a campaign by a number of New York area writers. This fourth book won the 1994 Western States Arts Federation Book Award for Creative Nonfiction. From the private library of Piri Thomas
